For the third year in a row we’re attending the Kent Construction Expo in Maidstone, Kent.
The event held on the 7th October, has sponsors and organisers such as KCC and Medway Council making it one of the top expos for construction trade companies in the South East. This is the perfect opportunity to connect with fellow professionals of the industry and to share our knowledge with fellow companies and potential clients. It’s safe to say: we can’t wait! The Kent Construction Expo is a free conference and exhibition with the largest concentration of construction professionals from within the South East, from insurance and security to commercial office design.
With this event taking place at the Kent showground, this will provide the industry with a highly focused gateway to learn, network and capitalise on the region’s major construction opportunities.
For anyone in Construction this is a great event to attend as London and the South East accounts for over 35% of the UK’s total construction output – estimated at £118 billion in 2014. Further growth is predicted with the Paramount theme park at Swanscombe, Ebbsfleet’s new Garden City, and Earls Court’s £8 billion ‘Urban Villages’ development.
With the expo only costing some of your time and nothing else, it greatly impacts your business. Building new relationships with fellow businesses can be incredibly beneficial, so this opportunity is not one to be missed. The expo includes keynote speeches from the former Minister of State for UK Trade & Investment, Lord Digby Jones, Dr David Hancock, Neil Edwards, Anthony Eastwood, Lee Penford and an update from Fenlon Dunphy from the London Paramount Projects.
Jo James from the Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce says: “The Construction and Manufacturing & Electronics Expo is a large, complex exhibition and conference encompassing keynotes speakers, exhibitors, workshops, demonstration areas and a large FREE ‘Meet the Buyer’ area. The Kent Event Centre proved to be a great location in 2014 as it fulfils the needs of all these individual parts offering modern facilities that fully meet the expectations of our exhibitors, speakers and workshop presenters. We are looking forward to a highly productive day on the 7th October in these great surroundings and to Lord Digby Jones launching the Kent Manufacturing Focus Group.”
Rap Interiors love attending this event because for the last two years it hasn’t failed to disappoint us, allowing us to connect with companies that stand out just like us. Then again with big names such as Maidstone Borough Council and KCFG attending, it’s no surprise that the event has been granted such praise.
Remember networking is imperative in the current world of business and we use the expo as an opportunity to take our online presence offline and connect face to face with fellow companies who share similar interests.
We’ll be there to share our knowledge and advice about office refurbishment, fit out and design on Stand 256 in the John Hendry Hall so come over and Meet the Team.
