For years higher education choices such as University and College have continued to be the most popular choice for school leavers, however last year saw 159,000 19 year olds take up an apprenticeship throughout England. This is a fantastic result for not only young people but also businesses who are looking for the latest talent.
At Rap Interiors we understand how important it is to offer opportunities for young people to help them gain work experience and skills needed for the workplace – hence why we took on 3 of our own.
We are extremely proud to announce that recently our Social Media and Digital Marketing Apprentice, Ryan Clarke has been asked to be an Ambassador for 3AAA (His apprenticeship program company).Trayciegh Hendy, Academy Manager for 3AAA Maidstone commented saying “When Ryan first sent his application through to the Maidstone Academy we were impressed with his skill set and his passion for digital marketing, he was so keen and eager to find an apprenticeship, and committed to the programme immediately. Ryan has been chosen to be the Ambassador for the 3aaa Maidstone Academy for his continued effort and dedication, he is an absolute pleasure to have in the Academy, and he gets on well with his peers and often offers his support to the class. He, is a solid communicator, attends on time every time, and is consistent with his enthusiastic approach to completing his qualification. We have no doubt he will complete his qualification and go on to do amazing things with, and for Rap Interiors. It has been a truly rewarding experience for the whole 3aaa team here at Maidstone to be able to help kick start this amazing young man’s career.”
Ryan was selected out of several candidates from 3AAA due to his enthusiasm, knowledge of social media and also his drive to learn more about Digital Marketining and he has become an extremely valuable member of our Marketing Team.Ryan has expressed his experience with Rap Interiors by adding “I hadn’t long left sixth form when I heard about apprenticeships. I was never really informed about them in my time at school, which is a real shame because in my opinion they’re the best form of further education out there. They offer knowledge and experience within the job role studied and you get to learn about the industry as you work.’
‘I actually found out about the benefits of apprenticeships through a friend, who told me about an apprenticeship company called 3aaa. I sent my CV in that same day and less than a month later I had a trial day at Rap. It was at this point I knew I wanted to work here. Rap aren’t just any typical company, it’s a very social environment alongside working together to get the best result; none of this hiding in an office cubicle stuff’
‘Seven months later and here I am, given an amazing opportunity to be an ambassador for 3aaa. I’m very honoured to be offered such a title and am amazed at how apprenticeships have completely changed my life.”
Rap’s Office Design Director, Julie Anderson was delighted to hear the news “Social Media, PR and Website maintenance is managed by Rap internally by Emily – our Marketing Manager. It was clear we needed to engage in sharing a lot more advice and content to clients looking for great ideas and delivery of office refurbishment. Established over 28 years Rap are experts in refurbishment of all business interiors.
We are as a company – Investor in People accredited and care very much about bringing fresh new young blood into the industry. This role is completely a young person’s world and to understand how “users” like to read content meant we needed someone dedicated to research, learning, implementing and a good writer.
We were delighted to offer Ryan the position as Emily’s assistant and being the “one “ who showed most potential with drive to have a career in online marketing, Ryan has far exceeded our expectations. With the support of 3AAA we know he is externally reviewed and kept on track regarding the Apprenticeship programme but for us it’s much more. He is somewhat shy to have received this praise from 3AAA but we are all over the moon for him and making a big noise about it in our office. Ryan has a great dry sense of humour and contributes loads to the input of our blogging. He is a credit to us and we are proud to have him on the staff team….even with his trendy hair!”Rap are very proud of Ryan’s recent achievement and look forward to seeing his growth and development over the coming months.
We feel apprenticeships are important for the future of businesses throughout the UK and are proud to be working with 3AAA, Mid Kent College, Medway UTC and East Kent College in aspiring young people of Kent.
