Client Brief

Latymer Upper School needed an experienced interior fit out company to upgrade six washrooms which had fallen into disrepair. This entailed resolving maintenance issues and introducing a new aesthetic to create functional and inviting facilities.

For the two staff washrooms, Rap Interiors re-decorated both throughout in accordance with the client’s high-end design. This included the installation of new panels, doors, worktops, vanity units and sophisticated ceramic pastel tiles.

Top ensure the space was functional, Rap made necessary changes to the plumbing before implemented sanitary ware, radiators, lighting and easy-to-wipe flooring. The project team also re-designed the pipework runs to conceal them behind the walls and panels, making for a clinical finish.

Rap Interiors’ School Refurbishment Solution

In the school’s sixth form block, Rap Interiors refurbished four washrooms: two for staff and two for students.

For the student washroom refurbishments, Rap added the same wood effect laminate features, repainted throughout and introduced new mirrors to add depth to the spaces. These spaces also required sanitary ware, along with mechanical & electrical work, lighting and flooring.

The next phase of the project entailed upgrading two student washrooms in another area of the school. While the works were similar to the other washrooms, the client went for a striking royal blue colour scheme as opposed to the wood-effect finish. Additionally, one of the ornamental windows needed a new pane and lock to ensure it was safe for students.
