For the fourth year in a row we’re exhibiting at the Kent Construction, Engineering & Design Expo in Maidstone, Kent.
The event held on the Thursday 6th October, has sponsors and organisers such as KCC, Kent Invicta Chamber and Medway Council making it one of the top expos for construction trade companies in the South East. This is the perfect opportunity to connect with fellow professionals of the industry and to share our knowledge with fellow companies and potential clients. It’s safe to say: we can’t wait! What’s the event about?
The Kent Construction Expo is a free conference and exhibition with the largest concentration of construction professionals from within the South East, from insurance and security to commercial interior design.
With this event taking place at the Kent Events Centre, this will provide the industry with a highly focused gateway to learn, network and capitalise on the region’s major construction opportunities.
For anyone in Construction this is a great event to attend as London and the South East are expected to see a combined annual construction output growth of 6.7% from 2015-2019.
With the expo only costing some of your time and nothing else, it greatly impacts your business. Building new relationships with fellow businesses can be incredibly beneficial, so this opportunity is not one to be missed. Why do we attend?
With our Design Director Julie Anderson being heavily involved with the KCFG (a wing of the Kent Invicta Chamber), we realise that Kent is one of the best places to network with fellow construction businesses. We’re incredibly passionate about networking in Kent which is why we’re attending our fourth consecutive meet the buyer event in these past years.
We will also have t4c and EKC on our stand, where advice can be given on promoting business growth and the benefits of businesses taking on apprentices. We’re incredibly passionate about apprenticeships and how much young people can benefit the construction industry and want to promote that to fellow businesses within construction.
There are plenty of talented young people who can greatly benefit from experiencing the construction industry and it’s important to allow them the necessary experience to grow in the workplace.
For advice and support on taking on apprenticeships speak to Jane & Tracey from East Kent College by stand 268.
For expert advice on investing in growth for your business speak to Tracey from t4c. East Kent College Apprenticeships are delighted to be exhibiting at the Construction Expo 2016 in Maidstone on Thursday 6th October. Our College has strong links with businesses and contractors from across Kent, helping to provide learners with a significant advantage in the careers market and assisting with identifying skill shortages in the local area. We provide a wide range of industry specific apprenticeships & professional learning courses that are ideal for anyone wanting to develop their staff or business. Come find us at stand number 268 to find out more about how hiring an apprentice at your business could enhance your services, improve productivity and boost staff retention.James Cox

Jo James from the Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce says: “The Construction Expo is a large, complex exhibition and conference encompassing keynotes speakers, exhibitors, workshops, demonstration areas and a large FREE ‘Meet the Buyer’ area. The Kent Event Centre proved to be a great location in 2014 onward as it fulfills the needs of all these individual parts offering modern facilities that fully meet the expectations of our exhibitors, speakers and workshop presenters. We are looking forward to a highly productive day.”The expo itself is up to date with the latest in information on trends that are affecting those in the market including your supply chain, social impact, regeneration, housing, Eco, contracts, women in construction and skills.Come visit Rap on Stand 268!
As previously mentioned for the 4th year running we will be exhibiting at this event.
We think it’s a brilliant event and offers us the opportunity to present our business to thousands of potential clients, face to face, and start to build meaningful, lasting, relationships beyond contractor and client. It also gives us a chance to network with like minded business and of course share our knowledge and advice about office refurbishment, fit out and design.
It gives us also an opportunity to talk about our new logo, new website and our latest success at the Women in BUILD awards winning “Best for Office Interior Design – UK”
Rap are also proud to help sponsor the coffee area with our trendy furniture solutions – so if you like anything you see or get a chance to sit on then why not come over and say hello and discuss the product.
“I have lived in Kent all my life and have had Rap Interiors for 28 years so keeping business in Kent is important to the growth of our company and our supply chain. I chair the KCFG network group monthly for the Kent chamber of commerce and we do this to raise awareness of Kent project opportunities. We are also passionate about engaging with young people and driving future Apprentice opportunities. Where this is seen as a complicated minefield we have invited EKC to be on our stand so do come along and get free advice and support from the expert Apprentice team from EKC. Kent is a growing county and with such regeneration happening from Thanet to North Kent that its an exciting place to be and grow your business so we have invited T4C to our stand as well to give advice on funding for growing companies.”Julie Anderson
