At Rap, we believe that businesses have a responsibility to make a difference to their local communities and contribute the health of planet. That’s why we proudly support a number of charities by regularly taking part in fundraising campaigns, from planting more trees in the rainforest to raising money for homeless people.

The great thing about fundraising is that it gives us the chance to meet people in our local communities and help charities that are close to our hearts. There is nothing more fulfilling than hearing about the difference we’re making to peoples’ lives, both from charity chairs and the beneficiaries themselves.

We are extremely passionate about CSR and would love to hear from anyone who is interested in joining our fundraising community. Take a look at the things we’ve achieved below and please reach out to us if you share our passion for making a difference.

Our Charity and Community Work

We have helped a number of charities over the years and will continue our mission to improve the lives of people and help the environment. Most recently, we donated to The Orangutan Project, which aims to help the endangered animals by planting trees in their habitat to slow down the effects of deforestation.

On a local level, for Christmas 2020 we worked with three other Kent business – including Gallagher Group and Rift Group – to raise over £8000 for Maidstone care homes. Over 100 companies donated to a campaign which saw 1000 presents wrapped for 705 residents, making it one of our most successful campaigns to date. Our other achievements include providing 360 meals for the homeless in Christmas 2020 and raising hundreds of pounds for the Heart of Kent Hospice as part of an Elmer the Elephant-themed fundraising campaign.

In addition to our charity work, we love working with people in the local Kent community and take part in many initiatives. These include helping at a construction workshop for ex young offenders, sponsoring local football teams, attending school career fairs, and signing a covenant to support the fair treatment of those who have served in the Armed Forces.

Wellbeing

We believe that promoting wellbeing is extremely important within our business and on projects. We’re one big family at Rap Interiors, so it’s a high priority to ensure the team is comfortable, healthy and happy. This culture carries through to our workspace designs as well, which are created in a way that supports physical and mental wellbeing.

Our designs regularly include on-site changing facilities to enable exercise, ergonomic furniture for optimum comfort, social spaces such as breakout areas and cafes, and biophilic arrangements to connect people with nature. We’ve also recently designed a number of agile working environments that embrace activity based working. This gives staff the freedom to work how and where they want, which is great for productivity and happiness.
