Our Sustainability Mission

According to GoConstruct, The construction industry is one of the largest users of global resources and contributors of pollution. As part of the construction industry ourselves, we believe it is our corporate social responsibility to do something about it!

Our mission is to give our clients confidence that their workspaces are contributing to a better environment for future generations. To achieve this, we constantly strive to build on our knowledge of eco-friendly practices to guide clients on the best solutions for their workspace.

Our Approach

With a team of passionate sustainability champions, we can guide you on the best eco-friendly solutions for your workspace.

From sustainability assessments to the procurement of responsibly-sourced furniture, we offer a comprehensive range of services that will ensure your space meets high sustainability requirements.

Workplace Sustainability Assessments

BREEAM

First launched in 1990, BREEAM is the Building Research Establishment (BRE) environmental assessment method. It sets best practice standards for the environmental performance of buildings through design, specification, construction and operation. We can apply BREEAM to your refurbishment or fit out project to ensure your space is environmentally friendly. Furthermore, it can be used as a marketing tool to attract potential purchasers or tenants.

EPC

Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) tell you how energy efficient your building is based on a rating of A (very efficient) to G (inefficient). An EPC is required whenever a property is built, sold or rented, so whether you’re a landlord, property developer or tenant, it’s essential that you understand the requirements. The good news is we’ve helped countless clients to achieve an excellent EPC rating, and we will strive to the same for you!

STEM

STEM stands for “Steps to Improve Environmental Management”. The scheme helps businesses in Kent to improve their environmental performance through a series of assessments and certificates. We have helped many local companies to achieve the highest STEM level (Gold), so if you’re looking to enhance your green credentials too, we’d love to offer our advice and expertise.

Sustainable Workplace Furniture

We understand the importance of communicating with our furniture suppliers to ensure they share the same sustainability objectives as us. This helps to bring peace of mind to our green-conscious clients, who trust us to procure products that are sourced responsibly and made from renewable materials.

Many of our suppliers are registered with regulatory bodies, such as PEFC, FISP, and FSC. This highlights that they take environmental and corporate social responsibility seriously, typically by increasing recycling rates, reducing fuel usage by using alternative logistics strategies, and designing products that are environmentally conscious.
