Rap Interiors Awarded Ancestry’s London Office Fit Out

Rap Interiors has been appointed to deliver the London office fit out of Ancestry’s new London offices, bringing the global brand’s workplace design to life in collaboration with interior design practice Corgan.

Ancestry approached Rap Interiors to tender for the project following the development of an initial design by Corgan. Competing against four other contractors, Rap Interiors was delighted to be awarded the contract, reflecting the team’s expertise in delivering high-quality commercial interiors and its ability to translate design concepts into functional, inspiring workplaces.

As Ancestry prepares to relocate its London office, Rap Interiors is responsible for delivering the construction and fit out works, coordinating the various elements of the project to ensure the new workspace meets the client’s operational requirements while remaining true to the original design vision.

Working closely with Ancestry and Corgan, Rap Interiors’ in-house team has developed the design to ensure it responds to the building’s structure, with careful consideration given to finishes, buildability and value management. Supported by dedicated project management and health and safety expertise, the team is overseeing the works from design development through to delivery, ensuring a coordinated and efficient process.

The new London office will feature a welcoming entrance and touchdown space that establishes a clear brand identity, alongside open-plan office areas, flexible meeting spaces, breakout areas, a large tea point and washroom facilities. Corgan’s design combines functionality and flexibility with Ancestry’s distinctive branding and carefully selected furniture, creating a workplace tailored to the needs of its team.

Construction is now underway and progressing well, with new partitions installed and the building’s infrastructure rapidly taking shape and finishes now beginning. Rap Interiors is working closely with the project team as the space begins to take form, with the team looking forward to seeing the completed workplace coming to fruition.
