As the government have released their COVID-19 Recovery Strategy, businesses can prepare to get back to work and put in place some new measures to ensure their employees will be safe at work.

While Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced that you should work from home if you can, for those that cannot need to work in a safe workplace environment.

If you are a business whose staff cannot work 2m apart, you must implement risk mitigations to ensure their safety while they work. If you do not, you could be fined.

Types of Protective Screens

Full Height Screens

These are PVC screens that have feet and can be ordered in a standard size of 2m X 2m as well as made in bespoke sizes too.

They are very versatile as the feet allow them to be sat next to each other neatly. Offices are using them for back-to-back desks as employees sit facing one another and at the side of individual desks. Schools are using them to separate classrooms so the children can work in small groups and individual bubbles.

The anti-microbial fabric panel is completely transparent and can be removed to clean while the metal frames are a wipeable aluminium that has a strong and sturdy frame.

These protective screens can be installed very easily without any professional help and with just two people.

Desk Mounted Screens with Feet

These desk mounted screens are manufactured from 5mm perspex and can be ordered in bespoke sizes to suit your desk size.

The feet on these protective desk screens can have high tack adhesive tape so they are very secure.

They therefore won’t fall over if any employees are walking past them or accidentally knock into them.

Folding Screens

These desk screens are available in 2 different heights: 400mm or 600mm high and a width of 1200mm.

They are available in 17 different colours to suit any office’s interior design.

With their folding capability, they are great for storage when they aren’t in use as they simply fold back neatly, not taking up a lot of space.

They also have an outstanding acoustic ability to suit employees who require a quieter work environment or those working from home.

The felt is anti-microbial, reducing the spread of bacteria and viruses so is highly durable. This assures long-term stability and is therefore appropriate to use during the current COVID-19 pandemic.

Vinyl Push-On Screens

Providing more of a statement, these 26mm thick vinyl push on screens are a more permanent solution to the other variety of protective screens.

A very simple installation of these screens involves slotting them 24mm thick desktops without the need for any tools or fixing or causing any damage to the existing desks.

With 25 different colours to choose from, they are suitable for any colour scheme in an office interior design.

Protective Felt Screens to Increase the Height of Existing Desk Screens

If your workplace has existing desk screens then you can extend the height of these with desk screen toppers. The increase in height will protect employees who sit at back-to-back desks, facing each other to prevent the spread of viruses travelling in the air.

These protective screens are 150mm high and are available to order in widths of 1000mm, 1200mm, 1400mm and 1600mm.

Full Height Protective Screens in Corridors

These 2m wide X 2m high protective screens are ideal for school and office corridors to promote one-way traffic so a 2m distance is maintained to follow the social distancing guidelines.

The full height screens are installed together in a row to create a barrier in the centre of the corridor so people can travel through the workplace or school safely.

Full Height Partition Screens for Communal Site Areas

These protective screens are designed for use in commercial environments to segregate areas in communal areas.

The top half is a clear perspex screen while the bottom half is MDF.

The foot design allows the screens to form modular pods with L-shapes and 3 sided boots.

They are available in 1220mm wide X 200mm high and easy to move to create different zones and layouts in the workplace.

They are easy to erect with no tools or fixings required and very easy to clean.

Counter and Reception Desk Protective Screens

For the retail sector with counters and offices and schools with reception desks, it’s important to reduce the risk of contamination through the projection of droplets for the safety of the person behind the counter is important.
