About the Client

Daniel Christopher® Jewellery is a multi-award winning London jeweller, with a presence in the heart of the UK jewellery industry in London’s Hatton Garden since 1960.

Client Brief

Daniel Christopher needed an experienced fit out company to refurbish its London jewellery shop. The brief was to maximise the space and create a more welcoming, luxurious area to meet clients and showcase the jewellery. In order to maximise the space, our London interior designers proposed moving an existing partition wall into a deeper position. With the wall further back, this enabled us to integrate more consultation spaces and make more the room in the client waiting area.

Project Summary

To create the luxurious aesthetic Daniel Christopher requested, we introduced decorative panelling and striking artisan wallpaper to the newly-positioned wall. We also installed a heavy-duty glass door within the wall and attached an electronic alarm system for optimum security.

Other key elements of the refurbishment include a new glass-encased consultation area for the managing director, elegant feature lighting and marble panelling. The marble panels were taken from the re-positioned wall and updated with gold grout for a high-end finish.

Through working with Rap Interiors, Daniel Christopher Jewellery now has a plush and practical London showroom. The re-configured wall – a result of expert space planning – has ensured the area is more comfortable and inviting for clients, while the decorative elements have achieved a sophisticated look as per the design brief. A Word with Daniel O'Farrell, Daniel Christopher Director

What was the remit for the refurbishment?

We wanted to create a larger, more luxurious area for our customers to come into and to showcase our jewellery.

How will the new design have a positive impact on your business?

It already has: the layout of the shop is far superior and the customer experience is better. We have more room for them to sit and wait and to enjoy the experience.

What was your favourite part of the design?

I think in part the panelled walls and the ceiling. We’ve dropped the purple now though we’ve gone down to a white round the edges; it’s a bit more low-key but we’ve got the option as and when we need it.

Did Rap Interiors fulfil your expectations?

Yes, absolutely; they exceeded our expectations I’d say. The guys that were in here were hard working and clearly worked to a very high level. From start to finish it was a good experience.

Would you recommend Rap Interiors to other companies?

Yes, I would and already have recommended Rap Interiors to a friend!
