About the Client

Based in Goring-on-Sea in Sussex, World of Books is one of the world’s largest second-hand book retailers. Over the last 10 years, the Sussex company has grown its shelves from 1,000 books to over 3 million.

Client Remit | Washroom Interior Design, Brighton

World of Books needed an experienced design and refurbishment company to revamp its warehouse washrooms. For the male, female and disabled WCs, the Sussex company wanted us to introduce functional new designs that reflected the company branding. Furthermore, we were required to implement a disabled shower to ensure World of Books’ washroom facilities are compliant with the Equality Act.

Our Washroom Interior Design Solution

In order to incorporate the World of Books branding in the washrooms, our Brighton interior designers used the company’s two-tone green colour scheme for the panels and vanity units. The panels are also made from a solid grade laminate for a durable, hard wearing design scheme.

For functionality, we installed multiple new features in each washroom. These included sanitary ware, toilets, cisterns, sinks, circular LED lighting, flooring, ceiling tiles and urinals for the male washroom. Much of this design scheme was used for the disabled washroom as well, along with grab rails and new tiles.

For the disabled shower room design, we implemented new grab rails and a folding shower seat to ensure accessibility. This part of the project also entailed expert plumbing works to adapt the existing drainage and ensure functionality.

Thank You for Choosing Rap Interiors as Your Refurbishment Contractor

Through working with Rap Interiors, World of Books now has modern and practical washroom facilities that are suitable for all members for staff. As per the client remit, the two-tone colour scheme is in keeping with the company branding while the disability friendly toilet and shower ensure Equality Act compliance.

We are delighted to have been chosen by World of Books to work on this prestigious project and wish the book retailer all the best for the future. To see more projects like this, take a look at our case studies here.
