At Rap Interiors, giving back to our local community is something we genuinely care about. Following our Christmas fundraising efforts for the Heart of Kent Hospice, we wanted to continue building our relationship with this incredible charity in a more practical way. Rather than stopping at fundraising alone, as a fit out and refurbishment contractor we decided to utilise what we know best – our expertise in interiors – to support the hospice further.

Our team volunteered a day to refresh and redecorate a key corridor and stairwell within the hospice. These areas sit at the heart of the building and are used daily by visitors and staff, so a much-needed refresh would make a big impact to the hospice.

To make the day a success, we were delighted to collaborate with one of our trusted subcontractors, JD Bush Decorators. Working together, we were able to complete the project efficiently and to a high standard, ensuring minimal disruption while achieving a real transformation of the space.

The Results

By the end of the day, the refurbishment to the corridor and stairwell had given the areas a fresh new lease of life – lighter, brighter, and refreshed – helping to create a more uplifting environment for everyone who passes through. It was rewarding to step back and see the immediate impact of our efforts.

We’re proud to support the Heart of Kent Hospice and grateful for the opportunity to contribute in a practical, meaningful way. We are so pleased the day was a success and that the hospice was pleased with the result. We look forward to being able to return again in the future to give more of our time, decorating further areas in and around the hospice and supporting them as they continue to provide such incredible care and services.

“Volunteering at the Heart of Kent Hospice was our way of giving something meaningful back to a charity that does such vital work within our local community. After our Christmas fundraising, we wanted to continue supporting the hospice in a more hands-on way by using our skills and experience to make a practical difference to the staff and visitors. As a company, it reflects our values — taking pride in our work, supporting others, and using our expertise to create positive, lasting impact beyond our day-to-day projects.  We look forward to continuing to support the charity and building our relationship with further opportunities in the future.”
