Kent Construction Expo 2026

Last week, commercial interior design and fit out company, Rap Interiors, proudly exhibited at the Kent Construction Expo – and this year certainly didn’t disappoint!

It was another successful event for the team, giving us the opportunity to make new connections, catch up with existing contacts, discover new ideas and explore the latest innovations across the construction and interiors industry.

When the main purpose of our business is to create inspirational workspaces, we strive to produce a stand that does nothing less than showcase the quality and standard of our real projects. We wanted visitors to get a flavour of what we do firsthand, from the design and materials to the furniture, acoustics and finishing touches that bring a space together.

When planning our stand, we had the pleasure of collaborating with some of our favourite suppliers, showcasing their beautiful products, craftsmanship and expertise.

JDD Furniture

At last year’s event, we partnered with Joint Design Direction and showcased their stunning furniture. They were such a pleasure to work with, and the response to their products was fantastic, that we thought: why not go again this year?

This time, our selection of furniture focused on collaboration in the workplace and alternative work settings, supporting the flexible working environments that so many modern offices need today.

The Archie took centre stage and proved to be an absolute showstopper — literally stopping visitors in their tracks! The arched-shaped acoustic booth, upholstered in rich terracotta fabric, brought warmth and made a real statement on the stand.

Visitors enjoyed stepping inside to take part in our game (more on this later!), or simply sitting comfortably for a few quiet moments away from the noise of the exhibition hall. Its acoustic properties and comfort really blew visitors away.

The Nora chair provided another private, cocoon-like retreat, perfect for focused work, with its overhead canopy helping to dampen external noise. We also included two individual armchairs and a coffee table, creating the perfect informal meeting space or somewhere to relax with a quick coffee away from the desk.

Decoverb

A large number of our recent projects, whether an office fit out or school refurbishment, have included acoustic feature panels. As well as their acoustic properties, they play a huge role in the aesthetic design of a space.

So, it made perfect sense to incorporate acoustics into our stand design this year.

The designer at Decoverb met our brief exactly, creating a detailed main wall using layers, curved relief sections and grooves that echoed the shape of the Archie booth.

The opposite walls featured a simpler design, still referencing the curved arches and linear grooves. Using acoustic panels was also the perfect way to incorporate our brand identity into the stand, making it instantly clear to visitors who we are and what we do.

Shaw Contract

Another brilliant collaboration came from our flooring supplier, Shaw Contract, who supplied the gorgeous carpet tile for the stand.

We chose the Understated carpet tile in Mellow Medallion, providing much more than just a generic office carpet tile. Its beautiful tones complemented the fabric finishes perfectly, helping to create an overall elevated aesthetic and bringing all the elements of the stand together.

Innerspace Cheshire

When it comes to designing and specifying living walls and all things preserved foliage for our commercial projects, Innerspace Cheshire are our go-to.

We originally collaborated with them on the design and production of our stand structure four years ago, so it was a pleasure to work with them once again on a different element.

One of their beautifully elegant, preserved trees was poised on the corner of our stand for all to see. Bringing the outside in, it was the perfect addition to our design and another great example of how biophilic elements can add warmth, character and natural beauty to a workspace.

Construction-ary!

When the venue doors flung open, we were ready to welcome visitors to our stand.
And we wanted to make it worth their while to stop by — so, naturally, we needed the perfect game.

Enter Construction-ary!

Think Pictionary, but with construction items – all taking place inside the Archie booth. The challenge? Get as many doodles guessed correctly as possible in one minute, with the lucky winner taking home a wine tasting tour at Mereworth Wines.

It was a fun way to see people’s artistic skills come to life with plenty of laughs, questionable drawings and some very enthusiastic guessing. And no one walked away empty handed, with everyone who took part receiving a branded notebook and pen.

A fantastic day at Kent Construction Expo

All in all, Kent Construction Expo 2026 was a fantastic day for the Rap Interiors team. From meeting new people and reconnecting with familiar faces to talking interiors, sharing ideas and having plenty of fun along the way, it was brilliant to see our stand come to life.

A huge thank you to all of our collaborators – JDD Furniture, Decoverb, Shaw Contract and Innerspace Cheshire — for helping us bring our vision to life. Your products, expertise and craftsmanship played a huge part in creating a stand we were incredibly proud of.

And, of course, thank you to everyone who stopped by, played Construction-ary!, grabbed a coffee, had a chat or simply took the time to explore what we do. It was fantastic to meet you.
