Ethypharm needed a disused area of office space to be designed and made more efficient for the relocation of a number of staff.

The workspace was previously used for pharmaceutical research and was very dated. It needed to have some funky office zones created using creative office partitions for brainstorming areas, whilst reflecting the clients branding.

Key Features

A collaborative breakout space in the centre of an open plan office

Collaborative Breakout Area

Our designers created a focal point in the office by breaking up the open plan office layout and designing a central breakout area as a collaborative workspace.

The colourful sliding screens in teal and green are not only a playful design element to compliment the purple branding colours but they add acoustic qualities to the workspace design.

They separate the area by creating a different work zone for informal meetings to brainstorm and work in a more synergetic way.

Durable Office Flooring

The new office refurbishment flooring had to be very durable, receiving heavy footfall through this space.

The client requested a hard wearing flooring solution that would be wipeable so the designers chose a concrete vinyl effect alongside LVT wood effect vinyl planks.

While the concrete flooring compliments the grey finish to the desks, the wood effect planks add warmth and comfort to the breakout area.

They also create a separate work zone by separating the breakout area from the traditional office space, where the concrete flooring was installed.

Industrial Interior Design

This workspace interior had an industrial design trend influence with several different features:

black aluminium glass frames for the meeting rooms
brick wallpaper for a more rustic feel
concrete flooring for a sleek and clean finish

These design features were chosen by our interior designers to form the perfect combination to an industrially chic workplace.

Having worked with Rap Interiors before, at a different employer, I knew their capabilities and how easy they were to work with. Their honest approach is refreshing and you can rely on them to deliver the project to the brief, on time and within budget. Having met Julie initially, the passion for the project and inspirational ideas she put forward resulted in the brief being fully understood and the whole process from concept to delivery made easy, with good communication across all trades and all team members.
