Project

Design and Refurbishment of Maidstone offices for charity.

Client Brief

To bring the building up to date, compliant, with a Designed feel as they entered a phase of transition to deliver alternative services in the community.

Project Summary

MIND offices in College Road were very dated and with the building being built in the 1900’s there were some electrical rewriting essentials and IT installation that required immediate attention.

Being a drop in centre for clients with Mental Health issues the feel of the building and furniture was a little uninspiring.

The remit from CEO Jennifer Walsh was to change everything to become a great colourful building that would “lift” people who visited and reward the staff with a great place to work.

Working within the branding colours a vibrant selection of spaces were created. Walls re plastered , new wood flooring and cobalt blue carpet in different areas, complete rip out and reinstatement of kitchen/cooking facilities, new washroom using IPS panels and hygiene bio clad, some new windows , blinds, doors, more suitable office desk layouts, storage, feature vinyl walls and a bespoke Reception Desk completed the new office for this dynamic charity.

“Rap Interiors have completely transformed our Mind Wellbeing Centre, we couldn’t be more pleased with the result. They have been completely professional with every aspect of the refurbishment, having made working with them a great experience for us. We are very proud of our new Wellbeing Centre, it is now a professional looking working space for our staff and volunteers, and a suitable, welcoming environment for all our clients.”
