As a busy London office design company, we believe it’s hugely important to keep up to date with the latest trends. That’s why every year we attend some of London’s design exhibitions for ideas and inspiration.

Last month, we attended the brilliant Workspace Design Show in London, which showcases everything from furniture to lighting to ergonomic products and more. With so many exciting and innovative products on show, we’ve put together a list of highlights and trends to give you some inspiration too!

Here are six that caught the eye of our office interior designers

ThinkingWall

Creative collaboration is a key to the success of every company, which is why ThinkingWall has made it onto our list! Designed by Logovisual, it is a unique whiteboard system for visual thinking and planning.

In addition to being portable, ThinkingWall is made from acoustic properties that reduce noise pollution, making it ideal for group sessions in busy offices with open plan layouts. Some even combine two curved ThinkingWalls to create a closed off space for private discussion.

Another cool product on show was the ThinkingWall portable AV system, which is built to hold display screen of up to 50 inches – perfect for presentations and video conferencing.

Office Games

Is your office a tad boring? If the answer is yes, perhaps it’s time to bring in a gaming product to give employees a morale boost!

At the Workspace Design Show, our London interior designers had a great time trying out the array of commercial gaming products on show by Home Leisure Direct. Among them was the “Shuffleboard” (see image above), which began life in Henry VIII’s Britain as a development from the “shove a penny” game.

The other product that caught our eye was the pool/dining table. Built with a sliding solid wood table top, it can double up as a leisure and gaming activity and a dining or conference unit. Simply genius!

Office Farms

There aren’t many products out there that can make a workplace look great and feed employees as well, and office farms do just that!

Made by Square Mile Farms, office farms a vertical walls of edible, aromatic greenery that can be installed in virtually any workspace. In addition to feeding hungry employees, office farms can improve physical and mental health, help people to reconnect with nature, and contribute to a sustainable food system.

Power for Agile Spaces

For years, office design had been dictated by access to electrical infrastructure – but that’s not the case any longer thanks to the Animate range by OE Electronics!

Simply, the company’s battery-based electrical products bring the power to your furniture, making for a truly mobile and versatile workspace. The batteries can even be built into furniture and charged overnight, which is perfect for companies looking to adopt agile working.

With OE Electronics’ products, employees can come into the office and choose exactly where and how they want to work – a luxury that’s fast becoming a reality for many.

Acoustic Booths

While there were plenty of booths on show at the Workspace Design event, we were particularly impressed by Studiobricks’ offering.

As developers of acoustic products for musicians and recording professionals, they know a thing or two about sound isolation! This knowledge has enabled them to create an ultra-quiet office booth that guarantees minimal sound-leakage.

One of the products Studiobricks had on show was a single-person booth equipped with a digital screen. These are perfect for private Zoom chats, making them the ideal solution for companies operating with a flexible workforce.

Additionally, the booths can be used for podcasts – something that’s growing in popularity amongst many of our own clients! It’s amazing what you can achieve with the power of silence.

Digital Visitor Management Systems

First impressions are everything, and for businesses looking to project a forward-thinking, tech-savvy company image, the Vpod visitor management system is a must.

Vpod provides an end-to-end visitor management solution for organisations, leaving reception staff to focus on providing visitors, employees and contractors with a warm welcome.

The Vpod’s benefits include live face-to-face video help from external executive PAs, wayfinding maps visitors, and touchless technology to remove the need for contact with the screen. People can also book rooms and desks with the Vpod, making it a great addition to co-working offices and agile working environments.
