Interior Fit Out Brief

After acquiring a small office at Ashford International Truck Stop, Morgan Cargo contacted Rap Interiors to install a directors’ office as part of a CAT B office fit out.

Additionally, the cargo wholesaler needed two glass partitions installed to segregate the office waiting area and breakout space.

Our Solution

As part of the brief, Morgan Cargo said it was important to maintain a connection between the directors and employees. With this in mind, we introduced a glass directors’ office with bespoke outswinging double doors. The glass ensures the directors are visible at all times, and the doors can be fixed in open position to create a “door is always open” atmosphere.

For the waiting area, we installed a ceiling height partition with heavy-duty framing, which serves to extend the entrance walkway and segregate the waiting area. Furthermore, the bespoke “Morgan Cargo” manifestation makes for an eye-catching feature and creates a brand experience for visitors to the office.

Next to the waiting area, we introduced a second partition for the breakout space, which also includes manifestation to avoid casualties and add aesthetic interest to the glass. As a further addition to the breakout section, we laid new vinyl flooring for a cleaner, sleeker look.

The Result

With the help of Rap Interiors, Morgan Cargo now has a number of new elements that will improve the office’s functionality. The directors’ office offers the perfect compromise between privacy and collaboration, and the use of glass has ensured the office maintains an open, spacious feel.
