Riverbridge House

Client Brief

With a remit to make the space habitable for prospective tenants, we designed and installed a number of new features.

These included an open plan workspace for a large group of employees, two glass meeting rooms, a breakout space and an inviting reception area with waiting furniture.

Reception

Given that the reception area is the first thing people see as they walk into Riverbridge House, the client wanted the design to be inviting and eye-catching.

In order to fulfil this remit, our office interior designers introduced a striking reception desk with LED sensor lights, luxury vinyl flooring made from metallic concrete material, comfortable waiting furniture and a rug for added aesthetic interest.

The design team also opted to keep the wall colour a neutral white to enable the tenant to add signage if need be.

Breakout Area

The carpet and furniture choices were key in creating a comfortable, enticing and visually arresting breakout area. For the carpet, the design team opted for a ‘natural pathway’ theme with a coarse stone and a pebble effect aesthetic.

To compliment the natural theme, they introduced dining tables with oak top finishes. The team also implemented a kitchenette for food and drink preparation, ensuring the space provides a suitable dining area for employees.

Office Workspace

In order to create a functional workspace for a large group of employees, we configured an open-plan layout with shared desks. To ensure the space is habitable for incoming tenants, the desks contain integrated power ready for computers to be installed.

Given that the central workspace is open plan, we also introduced two black-frame glass meeting rooms for practicality. In addition to being good meeting spaces, these help to prevent breaches of privacy by offering areas where sensitive information can be exchanged.
