Client Brief

WE Soda contacted Rap Interiors to carry out an office fit out at its City of London location. As the soda ash producer was already occupying the floor above, our job was to replicate this design in the new space. Additionally, WE Soda wanted us to value engineer the fit out by procuring cost-effective alternatives to the existing design.

Our Office Fit Out Solution

To replicate the floor above, we carried out demolition work to the new space before creating a number of meeting rooms with seamless glass partitions and wood veneer doors. These vary in size, from the smaller executive spaces to a large corporate boardroom, and each room is fully furnished with executive-grade desks, chairs and storage solutions for a corporate aesthetic.

The flooring was also key in replicating the corporate look of the office interior design above. To stay within WE Soda’s budget, we sourced an alternative cost-effective grey carpet, while the solid wood floor is an exact match for the company’s existing office design.

One aspect that is different to the floor above is the suspended ceiling. This proved a challenge to install, but we worked carefully around the existing structure to ensure the ceiling runs smoothly. The ceiling also includes a new integrated air con system and a unique strip-light that runs consecutively above the walkway.

Further to the main work zones, we made significant changes to the office kitchen and washrooms. The stunning new washroom design includes floor to ceiling-height doors for optimum privacy, elegant tiles, inviting downlights, hardwearing sanitary ware and integrated bidet systems.

Another key element of the fit out is the frosting to the partition glass and lobby doors, the latter of which includes the WE Soda branding. We also upgraded the power and data to CAT 6, ensuring that the space is now compliant.

The Result

Through intelligent space planning, value engineering and project management, we were able to achieve WE Soda’s remit for the new office space. Not only is the new space a close replica of the floor above, our team’s vast product knowledge ensured the interior fit out was delivered within WE Soda’s allocated budget.

The London-based firm now has an office that will allow it to expand its operations and continue to thrive in the soda ash production industry. We are proud to be part of this exciting project and wish WE Soda all the best for the future.
