Our interior designer provided a large boardroom by adapting two existing meeting rooms which sat alongside the main office area. One meeting room had an angled front which was squared off and opened up to adjoin the adjacent smaller meeting room. The installation of an operable wall creates a flexible meeting space allowing the client to open up the space as one, or divide the space into two rooms according to their meeting requirements.
With this flexibility in mind, the tables were specified with castors that could be moved, joined and locked into place allowing for an agile space that could be reconfigured accordingly. However, once the two tables were joined they could only seat a maximum of eighteen to twenty people. To resolve this issue, the introduction of a built in slim line bench along one wall, with integrated power and planters created seating for more people.
Soft upholstered meeting chairs matching those from previous refurbishments were specified in a neutral fabric, coordinating with the neutral carpet tiles and teal green acoustic wall panels. The teal green was chosen to create a feature wall behind the two large TVs while also expanding the clients branded colour palette with a slightly more playful twist.
