Rap Interiors are Finalists for 2 Constructing Excellence SECBE Awards

Constructing Excellence recognise the very best of construction across London and the South East and have shortlisted Rap Interiors for not one, but two, categories in this year’s SECBE Awards.

Building Project of the Year Under £10 million: NHS ITU Cubicles

ITU Bed Bay System for NHS Against COVID-19

Working collaboratively with Concept Cubicle Systems, we designed a quick solution for bed bay cubicles that were needed due to the outbreak of COVID-19 in March 2020.

We were approached by two NHS community hospitals in the South East during the first lockdown who required 44 bespoke ITU bed bay systems to respond to the demand of patients with COVID.

A 5 day turnaround meant the project was completed ahead of schedule and exceeded the client’s expectations with a quick and safely executed project installation.

“We were really honoured to be approached by the two community NHS hospitals to assist them with the ITU bed bays.

Even though the deadline was completely against us to create the bespoke design, get the materials and expedite teams on-site safely, all in the midst of the pandemic, we were delighted to have the project delivered on time.

We are so proud to have come together as a team and to have collaborated with a fantastic supplier and be a part of an emergency crew at what was such an essential stage of the first immediate lockdown.”

We have worked closely with this client for a number of years on several different projects.

They are a growing brand who have had expanded their offices throughout the UK.

With the help of our team, we have created several outstanding workspace interiors in London, Manchester, Southampton, Kent and St Alban’s with newer locations awaiting office refurbishments.

Rap Interiors Awards

Julie won the ‘“Lifetime Achievement Award” courtesy of FIS for her work in the interiors sector and involvement in local chairty work.

Operations Manager Emily won “Unsung Hero” Award courtesy of Family Business Place for the hard work and endeavour she displays in her challenging and multi-faced role.

For our interior transformation at Blends for Friends, we came runner up for the Construction Project of the Year at Kent Invicta Chamber Business Awards.

Two Rap sites, Addison Place and East Kent College were awarded with the “Considerate Constructors ‘Performance Beyond Compliance” Award

At the National Federation of Builders we won “Refurbishment of the Year” and “Most Commended for Client of the Year” nominated by our clients, Family Mosaic.

What's Next?

In late May we have been invited to the judging interviews where we are to give a short presentation to an expert judging panel.

Then the winners will be announced at the Virtual Summit and Awards Ceremony on Thursday 1^st July 2021.
