Office Fit Out, London – Project Summary

Following a growth period, Pick Everard contacted us to expand its office space in Holborn, London. This entailed value engineering the design to meet Pick Everard’s budget requirements – an essential part of getting the project off the ground.

Prior to our arrival, Pick Everard was occupying half of the floor space and therefore needed us to fit out the other half to facilitate the expansion. The project would later involve refurbishing Pick Everard’s existing office area to bring it up to the same standard as the newly fitted out space.

Part of the works entailed removing a lobby area which once separated Pick Everard from another company on the same floor. With Pick Everard now taking over the entire space, the original lobby was now redundant and therefore needed demolishing. In its place, we introduced an open plan client area with a bespoke reception desk, wood-effect flooring, lighting and a feature mesh ceiling.

To make the new office area fit for purpose, we created three meeting rooms, laid new carpet, revamped the existing breakout space (kitchen included), applied new decorations and introduced shared furniture solutions. Then, to bring Pick Everard’s existing office area up to the same standard, we replicated many of the elements from the new fit out. These included the Desso carpet, mesh ceiling tiles and meeting room feature walls. Additionally, new Frovi high stalls and desks were introduced for a creative collaboration area.

What did you hope to achieve from the project?

Pick Everard required a 100% expansion to our London office to meet increasing staff numbers and provide a new client reception area and facilities.

The expansion into the adjoining office and full refurbishment of the existing space required careful planning to ensure the existing office remained operational at all times.

The competition of the project required a high quality finish to meet the expectations of our clients, therefore these were the key elements when selecting our contractor.

Did Rap Interiors meet your expectations?

Rap’s project management and team exceeded our expectations. The works were complex in a live environment with multiple phases. There was no unplanned downtime for our staff as Rap scheduled critical area works over weekends and before the staff arrived in the morning.

The project was delivered to very high quality with zero snags, on time and on budget.

What is your favourite aspect of the design?

The new reception and client area is the first exemplar of our construction consultancy practice. It is a striking, spacious area that welcomes visitors with a bespoke reception desk at its heart. Visitors are able to enjoy a comfortable area whilst viewing the London skyline and view Pick Everard’s projects on the large projection wall.

Would you recommend Rap Interiors to other companies?

Pick Everard works on thousands of construction and property projects each year and we can certainly say based on our experience that we would definitely recommend them to other companies looking to carry out fit out works of a similar nature.
