I think we would all agree that 2020 has been a rather challenging year. Nevertheless, here at Rap, we are remaining positive and adopted the ‘Business as Usual’ approach as much as possible.
We have had some fantastic support from clients, subcontractors, suppliers and social media sharers. For everyone who has helped and supported us we would like to say a big thank you.
Looking back we cannot believe how much we have achieved in the last year and would like to share with you our Top 10 Highlights of 2020.
Julie Anderson, Design Director at Rap was delighted to pick up a Lifetime Achievement award courtesy of the FIS (Finishes and Interiors Sector). Julie was put forward for the award by her Rap Interiors colleagues, who felt that her work in the interiors sector and commitment to local charity work justified a nomination.
Rap were proud to work alongside Holy Family Catholic School in a bid to raise money for the Heart of Kent Hospice. To help raise funds, Rap pledged to donate £2 for every student who took part in an Elmer the Elephant themed poetry competition.
Martyn Pilcher, Commercial Director signed a Military Covenant that supports the fair treatment of those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces. Following the Covenant signing, Rap are looking forward to supporting the military personnel who bravely serve our country.
Our Marketing Manager Franki had a chat with West Kent Mind’s Business Development Officer Lorna, to discuss the challenges we are facing as a result of COVID-19. They talked about stress and different ways to manage stress as well as where you can find help if you need some support.
When the government released their COVID-19 Recovery Strategy on how businesses can prepare to get back to work we helped prepare many businesses on their return to work with the safety and well-being of their employees by using protective screens.
We partnered up with Concept Cubicles Systems who developed an Emergency ITU Bay System and became a National supplier of Emergency ITU Bay Systems, to quickly and efficiently set up temporary hospitals to support the NHS for patients suffering from coronavirus.
We have been very busy working on several sites with our social distancing procedures in place and following strict Government Guidelines. We have carried out a school refurbishment to Haringey’s Learning Centre, their washrooms and an office fit out for Coregeo to name a few.
We are so excited to announce that we will be launching our new online furniture shop in January 2021. We have also chosen a range of furniture for you to use in your home office as well as some additional pieces you may need in the office.
For many years Rap Interiors has been committed to helping local and following our successful Help the Homeless campaign last year, this year we are hoping to bring some smiles and love to those living in Care Homes in Maidstone this Christmas.
Operations Manager Emily had baby Lily in April and she is absolutely beautiful!
Luckily for us, Emily will be returning in January and we hope Lily will join the Rap Team soon.
We are uncertain who is most looking forward to Emily’s return in the office… it could be Martyn our Commercial Director…
Thank you for supporting our Christmas mission this year #Care4Christmas where we donated gifts and hampers to the residents and staff of 20 care homes this year. Without your donations, it wouldn’t have been possible and we are so grateful for your genoristy.
