School staffroom designs are very much on-trend today and lots get designed at the same time as classrooms get refurbished to provide breakout areas for teachers.
Everyone needs timeout and schools are realising their staffrooms have been left behind, or in some cases non-existent. Staff breakout areas are an extremely important part of a schools design for teaching staff to relax, re-energise and socialise with their colleagues in between lessons. Having their school staffroom as the space to take time out from the hectic school day with help keep their morale high.
For a true morale-boosting school staffroom, we recommend the following:

School Staffroom Tea Point
Everyone loves a cuppa during breaks, so whether your staff are morning coffee people or afternoon tea drinkers, providing a zone where they can make drinks for a hydration fix is a must for all education staffroom designs.
Well designed furniture for storage for “Best Teacher” mugs and home-made lunches makes the area more inviting to use on a daily basis.
A popular feature is hot water instant zip taps to speed up the process of making drinks.
A Calming School Colour Scheme
A cool, relaxing blue will help to lower heart rate and instil tranquillity during teachers time out from teaching. Similarly, green will help to encourage a calm and creative mind-set.
These colours within a school interior design can complement a school’s branding and bring the community of teaching together in one space.

Comfort
Comfort is key to creating a hospitable staffroom so incorporating soft furniture, such as sofas, foot stalls and bean bag chairs, are ideal. Modular seating that’s comfortable and supportive is great if they can be moved together to accommodate group chats and then moved apart when individuals need a bit of space or are holding private meetings/interviews.
Different choices of school seating in one area create a much less regimental feeling. Social tables, breakfast bars, booth seating and comfy chairs with instant phone charging are all becoming the norm for school staff room designs.
Our expert design team are always busy transforming school staffrooms.

We turned a, what was known as a “grubby,” staffroom into a relaxing and functional space for the teachers at Bournville Junior School.
It was previously not used much but the school wanted to create an enticing room for the staff to use on the breaks in between their classes.
Funky flooring was installed along with a bespoke kitchen and a white decor to enhance the natural light and the use of the LED up lighters.
