Office Fit Out Summary

Highway Care contacted us to undertake a CAT B fit out of its newly acquired office space in Sittingbourne, Kent. The brief was to create a practical, functional workspace that included a meeting room, open plan office, two director’s offices, breakout room, and a Finance and Purchasing department. Furthermore, Highway Care wanted the space to be bright, spacious and a reflection of its brand identity.

In order to integrate all of the required zones affectively, our office interior designers worked closely with Highway Care to map out the departments. For example, they configured the space so that the two director’s offices sat next to the Human Resources and Personal Assistant departments for ease of communication. Next to the directors’ offices, our designers utilised a section of dead space to create a breakout area and boardroom.

The design team also created a closed-off space for the Finance and Purchasing departments using half wall height glazing, giving them greater privacy when sharing sensitive data and information. Occupying the remaining open plan office space is the Marketing/Admin, Sales and Applications departments.

To ensure the workspace design was bright and vibrant, we implemented glass partitions throughout. An alternative to stud walls, the partitions offer greater access to natural sunlight and give the space more depth. Moreover, we were able to print Highway Care’s logo on the glass, helping instil the company’s brand identity within the design.

Bespoke Manifestation

Given that Highway Care wanted to instil its brand identity, we printed bespoke manifestation on the partition glass. Not only does this create a brand experience, it ensures the office complies with health and safety regulations by preventing casualties.

Finance and Purchasing Department

With the half wall height glazing, the Finance and purchasing Departments are now able to work privately and securely. This is key in preventing security breaches, which, in turn, could lead to legal action being taken against the company. Furthermore, the glazing helps to maintain a connection between these teams and the rest of the office.
