Holy Trinity needed an experienced fit out contractor to design and refurbish a number of its classrooms. The school wanted the classrooms to be fun, vibrant and inviting; safe and practical for staff and students; and designed to reflect its ethos and branding.

Rap’s School Interior Design Solution

For each classroom design, we configured the spaces to contain a central learning area, a reading zone and a section for teachers to conduct lessons. The colour schemes were chosen to classify the year groups, with yellow walls for primary classrooms and red for reception.

In order to make the classrooms practical, we introduced a multitude of storage and furniture solutions, including bespoke teaching walls which double up as whiteboards, books shelves which double up benches, and low height tables for students. For safety reasons, we selected chairs which are specially designed to prevent students from swinging.

To instil Holy Trinity’s ethos and branding, our design team proposed printing the school’s ethics on the walls. The selected words include wisdom, love and courage, and these are accompanied by a printed Holy Trinity emblem.

Other features of the design include fun bean bag chairs and multi-coloured stools; soft, comfortable circular rugs; and bespoke teaching wall doors with an alternating red, yellow and white colour scheme.
