ICT Suite
For the ICT suite, our London interior designers suggested introducing a glowing LED wall for a fun, eye-catching feature. With its futuristic Matrix-style design, the wall makes for a fitting addition to a space where technology is central to the curriculum. Other key features of the ICT suite include new bespoke desks with retractable screens, a ceiling-height storage wall with a presentation screen, and a blue colour scheme to match the existing acoustic panels.
Gym
A few doors down from the ICT suite, we made a number of small but important changes to the school gym. For example, the new mirrors make the space look much bigger and allow gym users to assess at their technique during exercises. The mirrors also have a back-light effect, which, combined with the new hanging LED lights, makes the space look modern, bright and impactful.
Library
On the floor below, our designers re-imagined the dated school library using their vast product and space planning knowledge. Among the new features is a visually arresting LED wave-effect feature wall, which sits behind the teacher’s new desk. Not only does the wall add aesthetic interest to the space, it brings a much-needed sense of calm to the library setting – like reading a book on the beach!
As part of the brief, the school’s decision makers were keen to make the library environment fun for students. With this in mind, we introduced a range of school furniture solutions, including a reading pod with bespoke joinery, beanbag chairs, and a “wave” wall with soft seating. These are accompanied by several large bookshelves, which had to be adapted to ensure functionality.
PPA Room
Finally, we updated the PPA room by installing perimeter desking around the space. This serves to optimise the limited available space and create a practical preparation area for staff.
